*Halloween*

We had a fun day celebrating Halloween with a parade and special treats. There were a lot of fun costumes! I hope you all have a great night of trick-or-treating :)

~*October*~

We have done a lot of fun activities during October. We got the chance to have the fire truck come to school and go to Bloomsbury Farm. 
We been working hard on learning (recognizing) the 8 basic shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, diamond, star & heart.
We have also started working on rhyming. The rhyming house we did for October was our "hat" house which included hat, mat, cat, flat & bat. 
Our social story was "The Group Plan" and we talked about how important it is to work together. When someone is off task and not being a part of the group, that frustrates others. We want everyone in the group to be happy :) 
Yesterday, the AM group got to go to the gym and see a part of "The Little Mermaid" musical that the high school is putting on next week. They really enjoyed seeing the costumes. 

*Our Halloween party is on Monday. Please have your child wear their costume to school if possible. the more that wear their costumes, the smoother our day will go. We will be parading around showing the rest of the school our fun costumes. 
*Please be working with your child on having them putting on their own coats/gloves, instead of doing it for them. This will help speed our process of getting outside faster :) This is also a skill that we will be assessing for.
